I have spoken to a lot of people (social distancing of course) and one of the things they are missing most during the summer of 2020 is music, concerts to be exact. Concerts have been shut down for the most part during the Coronavirus Crisis, but one town in Ocean County is looking to "rock out" SAFELY this summer.

Seaside Heights has announced a new project to feature the return of LIVE music in the seashore town. Officials from Seaside Heights have announced "Rock the Lot"  a "drive-in" concert series for music lovers to enjoy.

According to a recent Patch  article, the drive-in concerts will be held on Fridays in the Bayside Parking Lot at the west end of Sumner Avenue.

Tickets for "Rock the Lot"  are $20 per person with a maximum of five per vehicle — no party buses, limousines or vans are permitted.

Check this out ....there's a special Tailgate Ticket (for $60) allows you to purchase a parking spot beside your car to set up chairs and dance and still stay socially distanced.

Here is the upcoming schedule:

  • Aug. 27: Big Hix (country)
  • Aug. 28: Shorty Long and The Jersey Horns
  • Sept. 3: Kickin' Nash (country)
  • Sept. 4: Event Horizon (Seaside Heights Fire and Police appreciation night )

In addition to the music, there will be "a food truck or two," and live videos cast on a 20-by-20 LED screen.

Come out to Seaside Heights and "safely" enjoy LIVE music this summer with "Rock the Lot" on Sumner Avenue in Seaside Heights.
