Light Up Your Life: Celebrating Life, Helping Others, and Finding Hope …. Mitchell-Vassar Vision Awareness day 2015

At 4 years old, Molly Burke’s world became a little bit darker when she was diagnosed with a rare retinal disease causing loss of vision. As Molly’s vision deteriorated, her confidence and optimism only strengthened, but not without struggle. She found the strength to face her challenges, the courage to reach out to others, and she came to see the light and find hope. Join Meridian Health for this inspiring and educational program as Molly will openly share her experiences at a very personal, emotional, and relatable level and Stacy Doumas, M.D., director of education in the Department of Psychiatry at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, will discuss overcoming adversity and ways to deal with a major life change.

The Event includes dinner and a resource fair. There will be eyeglass collection for the Lions Club Recycle for Sight program.

Registration is required; call 1-800-560-9990. This program is made possible by the Mitchell-Vassar Bright Future Legacy.
