Jenkinson’s Aquarium offering free admission to furloughed workers
Jenkinson's Boardwalk Aquarium is offering free admission for one adult and one child for all furloughed federal employees from today thru Friday.
Federal employees affected by the shutdown, now a month long, can take advantage of the Jenkinson's offer by just showing a valid federal worker I-D at the front desk.
The aquarium is open Tuesday through Friday from 9:30 am to 5:00 pm.
Jenkinson's is just the latest New Jersey organization to offer some relief to federal government employees who are going without a paycheck during the shutdown in Washington D.C.
On Monday, Furloughed federal workers were served a free meal at JBJ Soul Kitchen in Red Bank with Dorothea Bon Jovi and NJ's first lady Tammy Murphy in attendance.
Last week, Hackensack Meridian Healthcare announced that they are waiving co-pays and deductibles for emergency visits at all network hospitals and urgent care centers for furloughed federal employees and their insured family members.
The People's Pantry in the Silverton section of Toms River is also opening their doors on Saturday's from 1:00 - 3:00 pm for federal employees to get the necessities.
