I have some bittersweet news to share:  I'll be leaving WOBM at the end of the month.  A few things have happened that led me to this decision.  1) I got Lyme Disease.  Since getting ill this summer, I've had limited energy.  Frankly, it's been hard to manage doing the daily DJ shift and daily blog post while also recording for my voiceover clients. Running out of steam isn't an option when I'm being paid to meet tight deadlines.

2) I attended some voiceover workshops. You may recall that when I originally left WOBM years ago, it was so that I could start my voiceover business. I'm happy to say that Lisa Leonard Voiceworks has been a success and now I want to take it to the next level. I've recently attended some workshops where I was reminded how much I love doing this type of work; recording narrations, commercials, phone prompts, etc. I want to do more of it which means I have to do some marketing. I want to get agents in different cities so I'll have a wider range of opportunities. I want to attend more trainings and networking events. This will all take time and energy so I'm choosing to close the radio door to hopefully open up some new voiceover doors. I hope you understand.

I've been with WOBM for about 22 years! From doing the morning show with Shawn, to being the midday host, it's been an honor to work at this heritage Ocean County station. I am grateful to you for listening and I will miss being part of your Monday through Friday routine.

I'll post my final "goodbye" on Monday, December 31st, which will be my last day on the air. If you have any questions or comments, the best way to reach me is to fill out this form.
