Is it a coincidence that every Spring/Summer gas prices go up? Obviously I'm being sarcastic and no, it's a popular time to travel and "supply & demand" is the mantra! So here we are in May and gas prices are hovering close to $3.00 a gallon.

In a recent article in Fortune, Tom Kloza (Global head of energy analysis for Oil Price Information Service) stated “this will be the most expensive driving season since 2014.”

Here are some on the best pump prices (Regular Unleaded) currently at the Jersey Shore (Gas Buddy) :

Toms River: Wawa $2.73 (Rt 37), Quick Chek $2.73 (Rt 37)

Freehold: Delta $2.79 (Rt. 9), Raceway $2.79 (Rt 9), Citgo $2.79 (Schank Rd)

Manahawkin: Costco $2.75 (Stafford Park)
