On Friday, the theme park posted their tentative plans to reopen on their Facebook Page. Our sister station, 105.7 The Hawk also reported the news. As of now, Hershey Park is planning on reopening in July, if the state will allow it. Read the full statement from the park below:

The theme park also shared that they are accomodating season pass holders by extending the current expiration dates through June 30, 2021, and by adding dates on for each day the park remains closed during the 2020 season if it comes to that.

Most Ocean County families have probably made a day trip to Hershey Park during the Summer, I know my family has. It is comforting to know that theme parks like Hershey, Great Adventure, and Disney are putting plans in place to reopen, but are working very hard to keep the safety of their employees and guests in mind.

Hershey Park's website also has more information about park closures, resort information, and updates on canceled and postponed events. Click here to visit their website.

I know I can't wait for the day I am able to ride a roller coaster, and then walk around a theme park enjoying some treats again, but until that time comes, it's important to be safe!
