New York's Hudson Valley has been a popular New Jersey road trip destination for a long time, but in just a few months America's 3rd Legoland theme park and resort will open, making it one of the hottest destinations in the Northeast.

There are currently two Legoland resorts and theme parks in America:

  • The first and oldest, opened in 1999 is in Carlsbad, California.
  • The second opened in 2011 in the theme park capital of the world - central Florida.

With the addition of the Goshen, New York Legoland resort, Ocean County families can make a vacation out of it for only about a 2 hour drive.

One of our Hudson Valley sister-stations is reporting that the ribbon cutting for Legoland New York is scheduled for July 4, 2020.

With the announcement, Legoland also put passes on sale, ranging from a one-day admission for $62.99 to an unlimited year long Gold Pass for $209.99.

The theme park itself will open next summer, but the attached hotel still has some work to be done, with the official Legoland website eyeing 2021 as their target to start welcoming overnight guests.
