Here’s What Will Be Replacing Ruby Tuesday’s On Route 9

You probably remember the story from last summer when the Ruby Tuesday on Route 9 in Howell closed so suddenly that even the employees didn't know it was coming.

Well, that's in the past, and the Lanes Mill Shopping Center will be welcoming a new restaurant to take Ruby Tuesday's place soon.

According to the Asbury Park Press, Arooga's Grille House & Sports Bar will be setting up shop in the busy shopping center.

Arooga's seems pretty much to be exactly what you'd want out of a sports bar; specializing in wings, fried mozzarella, and big portions.

They really mean the "big portions" thing too, I mean, just look at this pretzel:

There's already one Arooga's in New Jersey, on Route 18 in East Brunswick, and the APP story says that a South Plainfield location will open at the end of May.

The Route 9 restaurant is just pegged for, "later this year" right now, but the story also notes that the plan is to open at least 6 locations of the Pennsylvania based chain between Monmouth, Ocean, and Middlesex Counties.
