When I visit my mother in Central NJ, Wingstop is one of our go-to choices for a quick and filling lunch or dinner.

They're pretty much doing what Buffalo Wild Wings does, pick how many chicken wings you want, pick which sauce you want them slathered in, and enjoy, but with a fast casual counter-service model.

So far, though, I could only get Wingstop when I ventured above the Driscoll Bridge and into the heart of Central Jersey.

Until now, that is.

(Well, until soon, to be exact)

My colleague Nicole Murray over on our sister station 94.3 The Point spotted a report that says that Wingstop is heading south and will be making its first foray into the Shore area.

According to an Asbury Park Press report, not one, but three Wingstop locations will be opening in Monmouth County in the coming months; in Neptune, Aberdeen, and Freehold, with the Route 35 location in Neptune set to open first, possibly by December.

This is great and all and I look forward to being able to enjoy Wingstop's goods at least a little closer to home, but hey, Wingstop - don't forget about us here in Ocean County!

None of the three upcoming Monmouth County locations are exactly convenient to Ocean County (honestly, I couldn't tell you the last time that I was in Aberdeen, if ever), but I'm happy to go on record saying that there are plenty of potential prime locations in our neck of the woods, too!

What do you think, should Wingstop stop at the county line, or should they venture a little further south and feed us here in Ocean County, too?

You can check out their website and menu here, then stop by our Facebook page and let us know what you think!
