As we head into the 3rd week of March, it's time for the next round of cuts on WOBM's 4th Annual Mascot Madness competition!

Matchup 1 - Donovan Catholic Griffins (1) vs. Lacey Lions (8)

The Lacey Lions were holding a slim edge over the Donovan Catholic Griffins as of Friday's voting update.

Since Friday, suffice to say that the Lions opened up their lead and left the Griffins in the dust with our first upset of the 2019 tournament.

Winner - Lacey Lions

Matchup 2 - Toms River South Indians (2) vs. Brick Township Green Dragons (7)

As of Friday, the 2nd seeded Toms River South Indians were holding a lead of over 40% over the Brick Township Green Dragons.

The Green Dragons weren't able to close the gap, and the Indians roll into another Mascot Madness semifinal.

Winner - Toms River South Indians

Matchup 3 - Toms River North Mariners (3) vs. Southern Regional Rams (6)

Man, was this one close!

The Toms River North Mariners were holding a bit of a lead over the Southern Regional Rams when last week ended.

With a rush of voting over the weekend and thanks to the daily bonus vote on the WOBM app, the Mariners squeaked out a victory by a narrow 18 votes.

Winner - Toms River North Mariners

Matchup 4 - Toms River East Raiders (4) vs. Central Regional Golden Eagles (5)

Another matchup that came down to the wire, our inaugural Mascot Madness champion Toms River East Raiders did battle with the Central Regional Golden Eagles valiantly for the past week.

In the end, the Golden Eagles held the momentum and slammed the door, again thanks to the app bonus vote, and head into this year's semifinals.
