We're deep into the competition for WOBM's 4th Annual Mascot Madness, and the pace of voting so far shows the pride that our communities truly have for their mascots!

So, who's ahead right now?

Here's what the matchups look like as of this writing:

Matchup 1 - Donovan Catholic Griffins (1) vs. Lacey Lions (8)

It's a tight race right now between the #1 seeded Donovan Catholic Griffins and the #8 seeded Lacey Lions, with the Lions currently just barely ahead.

Is an upset in the works? Remember, voting goes until Monday (March 18th) at 12 Noon, so a lot can change between now and then!

Matchup 2 - Toms River South Indians (2) vs. Brick Township Green Dragons (7)

The Toms River South Indians are currently enjoying a healthy lead over the Brick Township Green Dragons.

The Indians took the title in 2017, will they be the first to repeat?

We've certainly seen voting change drastically after an early lead before, so supporters for both will want to get the word out and keep their feet on the gas!

Matchup 3 - Toms River North Mariners (3) vs. Southern Regional Rams (6)

The Toms River North Mariners are our reigning Mascot Madness champions, taking home both the 2018 Ocean County crown and the all-Shore prize that pitted the Ocean County champ against the Monmouth County winner.

Not to be counted out, though, the Southern Regional Rams are within striking distance of the current title-holders.

Matchup 4 - Toms River East Raiders (4) vs. Central Regional Golden Eagles (5)

The Central Regional Golden Eagles are holding a slim lead over the winner of our very first Mascot Madness competition back in 2016, the Toms River East Raiders.

Will the Golden Eagles send the Raiders to the locker room early this year? The votes between now and Monday at Noon will tell the rest of that story!
