LITTLE EGG HARBOR - A glimmer of hope for Pinelands Regional High School senior battling bone cancer. The Asbury Park Press reports that a bone marrow donor match has been found for Lauren Matta. On Facebook, matta's mother identified the donor as a 36-year-old male from somewhere in the U.S. The donor cells are scheduled to be transplanted on March 9th.

OCEAN (MONMOUTH) - It's official, the Monmouth County township of Ocean has a new Police Chief. 47-year-old Steven Peters was sworn into the post on thursday. Peters has served on the force since 1987 achieving the rank as detective lieutenant before becoming one of six candidates to test for the top spot. He replaces chief antonia amodio who retired wednesday.

LAKEWOOD - The Lakewood school board joins the many others in Ocean County in deciding to move its elections to November. The district was the last holdout in Ocean County to file a resolution with the Ocean County Clerks office. An April election would have cost the district nearly $30,000.

LACEY - Buddhist monks and nuns will be leading a 19 day walk to three nuclear power plants in three states. The No More Fukushimas peace walk aimed at drawing lessons from last year's Japanese nuclear accident begins from Lacey Township's Oyster Creek tomorrow and will end in Vermont on march 21st.

ATLANTIC CITY - Spirit Airlines resumes seasonal runs between Atlantic City and Boston today. Chicago-bound seasonal flights resume may third. Later this year the carrier opens seasonal service to Atlanta with connections to Dallas-Fort Worth Internatonal.
