Flat White

Have You had a "flat white" ?

Flat White is an espresso beverage made with two ristretto shots, combined with a thin layer of velvety steamed whole milk and finished with a latte art dot. A ristretto shot delivers a sweeter, more intense coffee flavor.

So this week I had my first taste of "flat white" and I must say I like it! It is a milky espresso. I think the whole milk that is used gives it a more subtle taste .... unlike a usual espresso which can have a little bite to it. Now if your not a person who likes their coffee "light" then I don't think you'll like "flat white" because it definitely has a strong dairy taste. Finally I will say it is very close to latte so wasn't like a complete revelation...but I'll try again. Have you tried it ?
