Election Day is not a federal holiday, but it is a state holiday here in New Jersey. So with that said, most New Jersey State offices will be closed. Some things that are open tomorrow on Election Day are banks and the post office. Because it is not a federal holiday, most banks will be open and there will be mail delivery.

In addition, major delivery services will provide service. Amazon, United Parcel Service, and FedEx will be operating and delivering. Most schools will be open, but some may choose to close as it is a state holiday.

In an article from North Jersey.com, "Per Yahoo Finance, Election Day is not a stock market holiday, and the markets will remain open during their usual hours." Also "courts will be closed on Election Day except for emergent matters. All New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission facilities, including agencies, road test sites and inspection stations, will be closed on Tuesday in observance of the state holiday."

So there is a quick look at what is open and what is closed for Election Day here in New Jersey.

Weather looks perfect for Election Day with most in the Garden State seeing partly sunny skies and temps in the low to mid-70s. So get out and vote :)
