Does Snow Lose Its Appeal As An Adult?
Yesterday, we talked about this year's long range forecast from the Old Farmer's Almanac. If it's to be believed, we're looking at a wetter than normal winter, but a little milder, too.
If you ask me, personally, I'll take rain over snow any day.
Even in the dead of winter, a blanket of snow does nothing for me.
But when I think back to my youth, I couldn't wait for snow.
Of course, the appeal was the fact that a good snowfall meant days off of school.
But as an adult who has to be at work no matter what, there are few things that I dread more than a forecast for more than a dusting when the calendar flips to winter.
But maybe that's just me. I know that there are a lot of people who still enjoy a wet, white landscape when winter weather rolls through Ocean County.
So where do you stand? Do you enjoy it when a good storm dumps frozen precipitation on us, or would you be happy to never have to see the white stuff ever again?
