Deal Police Officers & Detective save woman from choking to death
Two Deal Police officers and a detective came to the rescue of a 40-year old woman choking at a home on Westra Street.
Detective Dan Liptak and Patrolmen Chris Mirrione and Jeff Kless found her unconscious and not breathing when they arrived around 6:00 pm on Friday January 18
They then quickly performed the Heimlich Maneuver and CPR.
The officers, along with members of Allenhurst First Aid and MONOC Paramedics, were able to clear the airway and the patient regained consciousness.
The woman was then hospitalized for evaluation.
It's not known what the woman was choking on before the incident took place.
