As more and more people turn to online shopping for everything from toilet paper to big ticket electronics, one of the biggest brick and mortar electronics retailers just announced that they're shrinking their footprint at the Shore and closing a store.

Just today, Best Buy confirmed that they'll be closing the location on Route 9 in Howell just ahead of the holiday shopping season.

The Asbury Park Press reports that a company spokesperson said that the company is, "...choosing not to renew the lease because we found our customers are preferring to shop at our other stores in the area."

The closest Best Buy stores to Howell are in Brick and Manalapan, and of course there's another Ocean County location in Manahawkin.

The spokesman said that November 3rd would be the last day, so you have to believe that there will be plenty of deals to find as they prepare to cease operations in Howell just ahead of 2018's holiday shopping season.
