With seasonal restaurants in Ocean County preparing to wind down operations in the coming weeks, one popular Long Beach Island dining destination will be closing for good.

Harvey Cedars' Plantation Restaurant, which has been in business for 17 years, will close permanently this October.

According to Patch, the decision to shutter coincides with the relocation of Black Eyed Susans restaurant just down the road.

The article goes on to quote Plantation owner Marty Grims as being supportive of the move, saying:

"It has been a wonderful 17 years and we are thrilled for Black Eyed Susans will take the space"

Plantation's final dinner service will be on Saturday, October 12th.
