41st Annual Old Time Barnegat Bay Decoy and Gunning Show in Tuckerton, NJ
It’s a huge festival that draws thousands to Southern Ocean County each fall and it’s coming back this weekend. It’s the 41st Annual Old Time Barnegat Bay Decoy and Gunning Show and it takes place this weekend in Tuckerton, New Jersey. The event runs Saturday, September 23rd, 7 am – 5 pm and Sunday, September 24th, 7 am – 4 pm.
The event takes place in Downtown Tuckerton at two locations, Tip Seamen County Park and the Tuckerton Seaport. Plenty of exhibits and demonstrations all day long both Saturday and Sunday. There will be “decoys, dogs, boats, wildlife art, wildlife carvings, gunning supplies, antique fishing and hunting paraphernalia, duck and goose calls, clothing, carving supplies and decoy/boat lumber.”
As for parking, according to the Ocean County Parks website “Find a parking place at the High School on Nugentown Road or Freedom Fields County Park on Route 539. Once you park, the free shuttle buses will drop you off at the show sites from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM both days. Our show hosts will greet you with a warm, friendly smile and explain the events of the day.”
In addition to all the outdoor sporting attractions, there will be great music for visitors to enjoy and also all kinds of food to enjoy on hand as well. There will also be lots of crafters on site for you to browse and purchase all kinds of goodies.
