In an announcement that isn't totally unexpected, the Post Office will end Saturday mail delivery.

The Postmaster General announced today that, starting in August, you can expect your regular mail to be delivered Monday - Friday only. The department expects to save around $2 billion by cutting out the one day of weekend delivery.

Personally, I have mixed feelings - on one hand, it's always fun to go out to the mailbox and see what's waiting for you, and when you're waiting for something important it's good to know that you had 6 days that it could arrive. On the other hand, if this means that stamps won't keep going up in price every year, like they have been the past many years, I'm ok with waiting an extra day for my bills.
