Do you like to walk? Do you enjoy going out into nature and hiking? According to the Mayo Clinic, "The average American walks 3,000 to 4,000 steps a day, or roughly 1.5 to 2 miles. It's a good idea to find out how many steps a day you walk now, as your own baseline. Then you can work up toward the goal of 10,000 steps by aiming to add 1,000 extra steps a day every two weeks."

My wife and I enjoy our weekend hikes and we try to take advantage of any sunny weekend that we can get out and enjoy fresh air and exercise. We don't have to go on a ten-mile hike each time, but we do enjoy going to places with great scenery and well-marked and maintained trails.

What Is The Very Best Hiking Trail In New Jersey?

In the Love Exploring post, "The hike starts pleasantly with a boardwalk leading through fields and forest. Then, once you've reached the Stairway to Heaven section, it gets pretty steep as the trail climbs to the spectacular viewpoint. Arguably the most exciting section though is the mile-long (1.6km) suspension bridge on the way to Pinwheel Vista. Go early so you have plenty of time to hike and take in the natural beauty."
