Pretty soon, the At Home store in Brick will have a neighbor to the north.

As you know, the At Home store in Brick's Laurel Square shopping center took the place of the township's former K-Mart.

Keeping with that trend, the new location just up the parkway will be moving into another longtime business that recently called it quits, setting up shop in Seaview Square Mall's former Sears space.

The Asbury Park Press reports that this week, Ocean Township's mayor said that the home decor retailer has signed a lease to move into the first floor of the building that formerly housed the mall's Sears.

The report didn't specify a timeline for the construction and opening of the new At Home at Seaview Square, but if we take the Brick project as a rough guide, it took about 8 1/2 months from the day of the announcement in early March of 2018 until the ribbon cutting at the end of that November.

The Ocean Township location will give At Home 5 New Jersey locations.
