We talked yesterday about how the Parkway construction is making for commuting headaches in Ocean County. It's even worse on days like today.

It seems like drainage is an issue in some of the major construction areas - particularly the area right after the Toms River tolls where all of the bridge and interchange work is going on at Exit 83.

Standing water and poor drainage is causing a lot of splashing water and, even more dangerous and scary, if you go into it not expecting it, you could hydroplane and possibly lose control.

Of course, the best advice is to take it slow, be aware of your surroundings, and be safe on the Parkway during all of this construction, especially during bad weather.
