The Point Pleasant Beach Councilman, called out by a judge for being the reason the borough's overnight parking ordinance was rejected, resigns his post. According to Patch.com, Councilman Michael Corbally submitted his letter of resignation Thursday stating that he believes the decision was flawed and that all his decisions have been based on the best interest of the taxpayers.

Superior Court Judge Vincent Grasso ruled that Corbally, a Realtor who owns a business in the affected district, should have abstained from voting on the ordinance because he stood to benefit financially.
