Two years ago, 6-year-old Ocean County native Faith Calvo was granted a wish by Make-A-Wish New Jersey as she was battling a life-threatening illness.

This past holiday season, Faith set out to pay it forward and help other local kids get their wishes to the North Pole while raising money to give back to Make-A-Wish.

Make-A-Wish New Jersey tells us that throughout the holiday season, Faith collected more than 1,000 letters to Santa from local kids that she personally delivered to the Ocean County Mall's Macy's as part of the store's National Believe Campaign.

Faith collected letters from Ocean County schools, organizations, scout troops, and more. Then, a week before Christmas, she was escorted to the mall by local fire companies where she personally delivered the 1,072 letters to Santa.

Once again this past holiday season, Macy's National Believe Campaign pledged to donate $1 to Make-A-Wish for every letter collected, up to $1 million.

According to Make-A-Wish New Jersey, Faith's father Drew said, “To be able to see Faith get so excited and involved in helping out an organization that was there for us and so many other families just feels great!”

The Make-A-Wish press release goes on to note that over the years, Macy's National Believe Campaign has generated more than $19 million in donations to help make dreams come true for kids with life-threatening illnesses.
