A new blue wave spreads across New Jersey as 39 new graduates of the Monmouth County Police Academy assume spots in law enforcement at local departments.

The candidates took their oaths May 24th at the Academy in Freehold. Thirty completed the 20-week basic course for police officers and nine finished the three-month training for largely-seasonal special officers.

Award winners in the 82nd Class of Police Officers include: Garrett Culloo, Neptune Township - Marksmanship and Outstanding Trainee; Andrew Baldino, Wall Township - Academics and Traffic Officers' Award; Craig Whitman, Wall Township - Physical Fitness; and Hunter Brockeriede, Wall Township - Merit.

Winning awards in the 38th Special Law Enforcement Class are: Jamil Brooks, Asbury Park - Marksmanship, Physical Fitness and Outstanding Trainee; Brian Macdonald, Avon - Academics, Merit and Traffic Officers' Award.

Graduates in the 82 Basic Police Officers Course from Monmouth communities are: Andrew Baldino, Peter Baubles, Craig Whitman and Hunter Brockriede, Wall Township; Garrett Culloo, Jesse Dallago and Brian Bucossi, Neptune Township; Eric Lieb and Michael Yee, Belmar; Gregory Pancza, bradley Beach; Stephen Stockoff, Bay Head; John Zeller, Aberdeen; Amanda Arnold, Little Silver; Tyler Brennessel, Robert Knott and Sean Clayton, West Long Branch; Nicola Costagliola, Englishtown; Joseph DeFilippis, Manalapan; Kenneth Erickson, Eatontown; Kenneth Hamill, Manasquan; Gregory Lauretta, Oceanport; and Dwayne Reevey, Fair Haven.
