Thursday, August 11^th … The Journeys and Discovery division of The Arc: Ocean County Chapter hosts a Carnival Day at Pine Park in Lakewood from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. with a dunk talnk, obstacle course, petting zoo and more to help them promote independence and instruction that could lead to attaining a job.

Tuesday, August 16^th … The Point Pleasant First Aid & Emergency Squad holds Beach Band Aid at Jenkinson’s on Ocean Ave in Point Pleasant Beach starting at 8 p.m. Enjoy Woodstock-era music performed by Glenn Burtnik and The Summer of Love and help raise funds for a new ambulance.
