In out latest edition of "Hiking New Jersey" we find ourselves in New Jersey's Southern Most point .... Cape May. After you have checked out all the lighthouses in Ocean & Monmouth Counties, why not take a trip to Cape May State Park and see Cape May Lighthouse!

While your checking out this fantastic lighthouse, there are several trails that you can hit and get a few miles in right by the beach. We did a few and put in about 4 miles. The trails are pretty easy and well marked. Lots of wildlife to check out along the way including lots of shore birds. There are several viewing platforms to get a good photo as well.

There is an information center, museum and restrooms at the park. Free admission to park, with a small fee to climb the lighthouse. It's about an hour down the Garden State Parkway from Southern Ocean County.

There is a ton of things to do around Cape May, so make it a day trip and enjoy your hike and sight seeing in Cape May.
