Another motorist captured the incident. The Ocean County Prosecutor's office saw the video posted on The Lakewood Scoop's website, according to spokesman AL Della Fave.

After  reviewing the video, the Prosecutor's Office released a statement saying office personnel were "amazed the driver's blatant disregard for the safety of others."

The footage allegedly shows Alfonso D. Rodriguez-Rojas, 36, of Lakewood speeding past a car, crossing over double-yellow lines and into oncoming traffic, as he passed the stopped bus with red lights flashing near East County Line Road and Apple Street shortly before 7:30 a.m.

Lakewood police were able to trace the Ford F-150 pickup to Rodriguez-Rojas several hours later. He was issued tickets for reckless driving, improper passing, passing a stopped school bus and driving with a suspended license, according to authorities.

He's scheduled to appear in municipal court June 11.
