I've had my dog Sydney for about 7 years now. She was a stray rescue, so the shelter didn't know exactly what breed she was when they took her in.

Looking at her, you can guess that she's at least part Cocker Spaniel, she definitely has the curly fur when it gets long, and she's the right size. But her face isn't quite right for a full cocker. Whenever people ask, I always say that she's a "Cocker-Something".

After years of thinking about it, I finally went ahead and ordered The Wisdom Panel Mixed Breed DNA Kit.

It seems to be a pretty simple process, you just swab the inside of your dog's cheek, send it back, and within a few weeks they email you with a report on what breeds your dog is made up of.

Now, of course I'm not expecting that they'll necessarily be able to tell me what she is with 100% accuracy, but it'll definitely be fun to get some insight into what makes up her look, her temperament, etc.

I'll be sure to update you when I get the report back. In the meantime, take a look at the pictures of her at the top and bottom of the page and take your guesses - what do you think Sydney is? Leave a comment below with your guesses!
