It seems like there are more musicals on Broadway these days that have been adapted from films than actual original works. But that's not necessarily a bad thing. Plans are in motion right now to turn an 80's classic into a big theater production. Read on to find out what famous flick is getting the musical treatment.

Just picture this - Marty McFly singing a touching solo about trying to get his parents together when traveling back in time to 1955 Hill Valley.

That's right, we're talking about a Back to the Future stage musical.

Plans are in the works right now with original director, Robert Zemeckis and original screenwriter, Bob Gale, along with a bunch of theater and music veterans to bring the time traveling DeLorean to theater audiences by the movie's 30th anniversary next year.

The only downside for us - if you want to be among the first to see it you'll have to travel to London, as the production is in the works for England's Broadway equivalent, The West End. But, hopefully, if it's successful it'll make the leap to New York.

Would you see a stage musical of Back to the Future? Tell us in the comments!
