Alfred Oliveri, 58, is accused of five business burglaries in Brick Township and another in Lacey between August 5 and August 31, according to Brick police.

Oliveri was taken in by Lacey police on an active warrant this past Monday and transferred to Brick for processing on the separate warrant, then placed in the Ocean County Jail in Toms River in lieu of bail.

Yo Fresh Yogurt, Via Veneto Restaurant, Mr. Alan's Original Florist, Il Boccone Restaurant and Terriganis Bagels in Brick Township were subjected to overnight break-ins.

Surveillance images recorded during overnight hours and reviewed by police revealed a suspect prying doors with a crowbar to gain entry, and in two instances smashing front-facing display windows, then raiding cash registers.

Officers analyzing the images recognized Oliveri from previous encounters, authorities said.
