Help Townsquare Media “Restore the Shore” at a tasting event to benefit Hurricane Sandy relief efforts.  Join us on Thursday, January 24 at 6 p.m. as we feature a sampling of over 50 wine & spirit brands from around the world, live music from the Jersey Shore’s popular cover band, Daddy Pop, silent auction, and a selection of cuisine by the culinary team at Eagle Oaks Country Club in Farmingdale …. A Spaghetti Dinner will be held at Wright Memorial Presbyterian Church, 330 S. Main St. (Rt. 9), Barnegat, on Friday, Feb. 8th with seatings at 5 PM and 6:30 PM.  Tickets are $8 for adults and $5 for children 12 and under.  Call 698-3358 for reservations or further information.  Proceeds will benefit local missions.

The Ocean County Health Department will offer its Live Healthy Ocean

County Chronic Disease Screening and Education Program at the County Connection in

Berkeley Little League will be holding FINAL registration for the Spring 2013 season in the RJE Jr Volunteer Community Center at the Moorage Baseball Complex on Friday, January 18…. 7pm-8:30pm, & Saturday, January 19, 9am-12pm. Boys and Girls ages 5-18 years old (age on May 1^st,  2013) that live in Berkeley Township or Ocean Gate are eligible. For Info Call 732-606-9060….. Coaches and umpires are also wanted.

To help area residents effected during Hurricane Sandy, Ocean County Library will host the workshop “Claiming Hurricane Sandy Losses On Your Federal Tax Return.”

The dates and locations for the workshop are:

Monday, January 28, 7 pm at the Long Beach Island branch (217 South Central Avenue)

Thursday, February 1, 7 pm at the Little Egg Harbor branch (290 Mathistown Road)

Tuesday, February 5, 7 pm at the Lacey branch (10 East Lacey Road, Forked River)

Monday, March 11, 7 pm at the Point Pleasant Borough branch (834 Beaver Dam Road)

Wednesday, March 20, 7 pm at the Toms River branch (101 Washington Street)
