A United States Air Force crew based out of Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst and currently deployed overseas honored Ocean County on the 5th anniversary of Superstorm Sandy this past weekend, and we'll soon have the result of their efforts right here in Ocean County.
Toms River Police Corporal Chris Raia was on the scene, and photographed the immediate aftermath throughout the barrier island neighborhoods of Ocean County from Mantoloking to Seaside Park. He then returned to the same spots to capture almost the exact scenes as they are today.
As you take in the sights of the Seaside Park boardwalk, as it continues to rise and be revitalized, you'll no doubt take note of the massive piece of art that's now gracing the south side of the Playa Bowls shop.
A few weeks ago, we told you how Lakewood is the fastest growing town in all of New Jersey. Today, we have a much more startling story as we dig into a different study - the sheer number of Ocean County communities that have made the list of the towns most quickly losing people.
