WOW! This Looks Like a BIG Project in Brick Township, New Jersey
It seems like this project has taken a long time to get underway in Brick Township, but like a lot of things during the Coronavirus Pandemic it has been a slow go for development….including right here in Ocean County.
This latest project in Brick Township is the development along Route 70 at the former Foodtown Supermarket location, which is slated to become a huge indoor sports complex.
In an app.com article from February, the vacant parcel on Route 70 will be redeveloped with a 122,800-square-foot sports complex along with other businesses and attractions.
It does appear that this project has had it’s setbacks but I have not seen any indications that the project is being scrubbed. It looks like there will be lots for the community to take advantage of with lots of sports involved including: baseball ⚾️ , basketball , football , field hockey , lacrosse , soccer ⚽️, surfing ♀️, volleyball and also rentals, clinics, camps and parties.
So if you live in the Brick, Toms River, Point Pleasant and Lakewood area how do YOU feel about this project? Are you looking forward to it or not? We’d love to get your feedback on this so share your thoughts
We always seem to hear there is not enough for kids and families in the area, will this venue help to alleviate that problem with lots to do for kids and parents ?
