Jeffreeze in West Creek Voted Best Ice Cream in Ocean County

Is there a better treat than ice cream in the summertime? I really can't think of a better way to enjoy a hot summer day, then with some cold ice cream.

My personal favorite is vanilla and I know my choice is not that exciting, but to me, there's nothing better than a really good cup of vanilla bean with some hot fudge on top.

Sunday, July 19th was National Ice Cream Day and we wanted to celebrate by finding out where listeners think is the BEST ice cream here in Ocean County!

I wondered who gets credit for inventing ice cream, so following a Google search this was the answer we found:

"An ice-cream-like food was first eaten in China in 618-97AD. King Tang of Shang, had 94 ice men who helped to make a dish of buffalo milk, flour and camphor. A kind of ice-cream was invented in China about 200 BC when a milk and rice mixture was frozen by packing it into snow." ~ Google
