If you want to draw the wrath of many at a time when people are dying everywhere then start a conversation about when businesses and the country should reopen.

President Trump has indeed discussed this and been raked over the coals by the media and others.  In my opinion part of that is due to the fact that he is a terrible speaker and when he goes off-script he usually comes off poorly.

Someone more eloquent could likely address the topic and do so in a fashion which would show them to be caring and compassionate. Not exactly Trump’s specialty.  Also many of those who would shame you for thinking about getting back to business are likely still employed.

However the truth is most of us are indeed thinking about this, especially if you own a business that is closed or offering limited services or work in one that has you now unemployed or earning a fraction of what you were just a couple of months ago.

It does appear that some form of the coronavirus is something we might have to deal with for many months and even years while a cure and vaccine are being developed.  We don't have many months before the economic situation in this country will get to a possible point of no return.

Not to make any light of the medical plight that COVID-19 has caused but if we’re honest just as many of us will admit to being more afraid of our finances than getting the virus itself.  Nothing is more important than health but money is clearly #2 and for many it’s moving up the ladder.

We are clearly not good at staying home and as the weather gets nicer it will become more and more of a problem.  However even more so is the fact that just about everything we need and enjoy is closed or only open on a very limited basis.

As difficult as it might be for you to be stuck at home in truth that is nothing compared to how difficult it is for a business to be closed as that impacts many.

So let’s continue to try and stay healthy and if we get sick let’s pray for a full recovery.  In the meantime don’t feel guilty about wondering when our country re-opens for business because most are thinking the same thing.

Stay healthy my friends!
