It's summer and that means the "pests" are back at the Jersey Shore. What do you think is worst.... the tick, mosquito or greenhead?

I have to say I think living in Southern Ocean County I'd have to vote for the greenhead fly, these flies draw blood! On a bad day around the bay you really can't even go out because they will attack you. The greenhead also is tough to kill, they even play dead and then fly away after they fool you! That's not to say the mosquito's aren't a real pain and of course ticks can be dangerous too if your not cautious outdoors.

I must admit this summer I have found more ticks around then I have in years past. Good thin is the ticks I have spotted were larger and not the small "deer" tick which is associated with lyme disease.

"Lyme disease is a bacterial infection you get from the bite of an infected tick. At first, Lyme disease usually causes symptoms such as a rash, fever, headache, and fatigue. But if it is not treated early, the infection can spread to your joints, heart, and nervous system. Prompt treatment can help you recover quickly." ~ Google
