New Jersey has some great food. From a pork roll, egg, and cheese sandwich to our signature pizza, there are plenty of options for eating in Ocean County. But there are some foods that I love that I can't get here at home.

I just got back from a trip to the Midwest, and got to enjoy some of my non-local favorites.

Sure, you can buy a bottle of A&W Root Beer from the local grocery store and some ice cream to make your own root beer float, but it's not the same at stopping by a roadside A&W restaurant where they make the root beer right in-store and serve it up in a frosty mug.

People sometimes get grossed out when I talk about cheese curds. But, my view on it - don't knock 'em till you've tried 'em! Don't like the name "cheese curds"? Fine, call them "cheese nuggets" if you like. Whatever you call them, they're delicious, and you can't get them here in New Jersey!

So what are some of your out of state favorite foods? Tell us in the comments!
