The celebrations of equality, inclusion, and diversity continue in Ocean County for Pride Month 2019 as Toms River announces its first ever LGBT+ Pride Celebration.

The Toms River Township Council is scheduled to officially proclaim the day of the celebration as an officially recognized Pride Day, which will be marked by the day-long event on Saturday, June 22nd.

The celebration is open to all and will take place along Robbins Street in downtown Toms River.

It's all been an effort of Toms River's Exit 82 Theatre Company who, in a press release said that,

“...as Toms River natives, we’re proud of our heritage and the progress that’s been made to spark the creation of our first-ever Pride celebration"

On the schedule for the day is live entertainment and family-friendly activities with numerous local businesses planning to take part.
