Toms River ‘Field of Dreams’ moves a step closer to becoming a reality

How can you be the voice for Toms River's 'Field of Dreams'?
The Township is holding a special public hearing where under discussion by state regulations PURSUANT TO N.J.A.C. 7:36-25.6(a)(1) will be officially changing the purpose or use of the 3.4 acres of Bey Lea Park from a vacant open space to a Special Needs Children's Playground.
The hearing by state regulations is to obtain public comment on the proposed change of purpose or use of that part of land.
Following the discussion February 15 the township council will have 90-days to take formal action on the matter, according to assistant township attorney Anthony Merlino.
The hearing takes place at 6 pm upstairs at the municipal building on Washington Street or via the Robbins Street entrance in the L. Manuel Hirshblond Meeting Room.
