Buckle up, because it feels like the winter 2019-2020 weather roller coaster is about to take off.

It was way back in August that we shared The Farmers' Almanac's prediction for a brutally cold and wet winter 2019-2020 season, and while we still have more than 6 weeks until winter officially begins on December 21st, 2019, we may start to see signs of the season as early as this week.

It was only days ago that trick or treaters enjoyed a 70 degree Halloween, but WOBM meteorologist Dan Zarrow tells us that temperatures later this week will tumble, with high temperatures by Friday only pushing into the 40s.

Dan adds that, "...on the backside of Thursday evening's front, as temperatures nosedive, you might see some flurries flying around. (Especially in North Jersey.)"

But that's not all, looking ahead to next week there's a possibility of, "...widespread snow across New Jersey"  to open the second full week of November.

We'll of course keep you updated on all of that, but in the meantime it might not be a bad idea to bring the winter coats out of storage.
