Tina's House

April is Sexual Assault Awareness month and on Friday night at First Energy Park in Lakewood the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office along with Saint Francis Counseling Center held an educational event where they stepped up to the plate against Sexual Violence.

The mission of "Tina's House" to support Ocean County children and victims of sex assaults and domestic abuse gets a $25,000 cash infusion.

Every home looks a little brighter when it sports a spray of fresh flowers. Perhaps at no home do multi-colored, aromatic bouquets have the same impact that they do at Tina's House, for Ocean County families coping with child sexual and physical abuse.

Friends of the Ocean County Child Advocacy Center announces the award of a $10-thousand dollar grant for Tina's House. Friends Chair, retired Judge Barbara Ann Villano, said the grant is being awarded by the Toms River-based Helping Others Grow Organization...

The new Children's Advocacy Center is run by the Special Victims Unit of the County Prosecutor's Office. Lieutenant Colleen Lynch, who runs the center, said it provides one-stop services for child crime victims.
