A whole lot of people will be enjoying the traditional 4th of July BBQ this coming weekend. And it's not only people who've got some BBQ plans in the works. It's hard to believe that we're saying goodbye to June already and that the 4th of July is only days away. As we get closer to one of the biggest Summer holidays, there are a lot of ways to celebrate Independence Day.

Tuesday's heavy line of storms may have spared Northern Ocean County, but the Southern end of the county got hit hard, interrupting graduations, downing trees, and cutting power to thousands. WOBM listener Stephanie Coviello-Fleming took this video of the damage that the storm brought through Manahawkin. Take a look:

As severe weather spread throughout the Southern end of the state yesterday, the weather put the kibosh on Southern Regional's original graduation plans, and blasted right through the middle of Pinelands Regional's graduation ceremony.

WOBM News has just gotten word that due to the impending severe weather, Southern Regional High School's graduation has been rescheduled.

With school years wrapping up this week in Ocean County, a lot of kids will be heading off to spend their Summers with nature at a Summer camp.

With Summer in Ocean County, we also get some interesting weather. Yesterday we seemed to get a lot of it all on the same day - from seeing rain falling in the distance to vivid rainbows, it was quite a day to be a weather watcher.
