We're not only celebrating Pop-Tarts today, but also the very popular lunch meat known as Bologna.  It's National Bologna Day.  The sandwich staple, whose origins go back to the sausage from Bologna, Italy, is beloved here in the U.S.  Some bread, a slice of cheese, and a couple of slices of this meat and your kid's school lunch is ready to go...

Now, you're probably thinking...Is this important to me?  Well maybe not, but I grew up on these things and it just brings back memories of being in my Nana's kitchen eating them with my aunt Jane at least 3 times a week.
