As you're reading this, you may be at your desk, eating a sandwich that you packed at home.  Is it one of the basics like peanut butter and jelly?  Perhaps it's a good old ham and cheese?  My guess is it is NOT a cream cheese and olive sandwich.  I had never heard of such a thing but apparently it was BF's favorite as a kid.  So that sparked a conversation about strange or perhaps I should say "non-traditional" lunches that we used to eat.

I was such a picky eater as a child that I would almost always bring a thermos and a fork to school.  The thermos would contain macaroni with butter and salt or some Kraft macaroni and cheese.  You remember I was a very late bloomer with sandwiches; only trying my first PB&J on the air with Shawn when I was about 32 years old!

Anyway, I wonder what other non-traditional lunches are popular these days in Ocean County. What's something that you enjoy that's a bit unusual?  What kind of lunch did you enjoy as a child? What did you like as a kid that none of your classmates were interested in trading you for? What are you packing for work these days?
