It is a sound I've never heard in my life.  What is that sound?  I took a video of my back yard last night, sorry the lights were off..but check this out?

There are some things that you really don't want to find in your house. In fact, I've already had one or two instances. Last week, I had another one of those situations where something that you would prefer to stay outside, came inside.

As many of us are enjoying the unseasonably mild weather today, we're not the only ones taking the opportunity to enjoy the sun and the warm weather. You may have noticed a lot of ladybugs around today.

Summer in Ocean County is great for spending time outdoors. But one thing that comes with the sun and fun is mosquitoes and other biting bugs.

If I had to pick a favorite time of year, it's definitely now - late spring and early summer. The temperatures are usually comfortable (ok, today is a bad example of that), and the days are nice and long. The only downside - bugs. Lots of them. Many people have their own strategies for dealing with outdoor pests.

Whether you call them "lightning bugs" or "fireflies", most kids love catching the iridescent insects. and I was definitely one of them. Decades later, when I see that distinct green flash, I still cup my hands and try to catch them.
