SUEZ Water replacing aging Toms River water mains
SUEZ Water crews are set to get started on a construction project to replace about 1,800 feet of aging water main in Toms River which will cross under the Garden State Parkway.
The $1,500,000.00 project is designed to improve service reliability and fire protection for residents.
SUEZ Crews will be working along Waterline Road, Lakehurst Road, Highland Parkway and West Water Street on weekdays between 7:00 am and 5:00 pm.
They will also be working that will impact the parkway near Exit 81 both northbound and southbound beginning in the next couple weeks.
The parkway work will be done between 9:00 pm and 5:00 am the next day over the course of a couple nights.
Work is expected to be done by June 30, 2019 with final restoration to be completed by November of this year.
"SUEZ is taking a proactive approach in upgrading the water mains which will help ensure that our business and residential customers will be served by a system that provides exceptional water quality and reliability for many years ahead," Jim Mastrokalos, SUEZ Water Director of Operations said. "SUEZ, its constructor, Toms River Township and the New Jersey Turnpike Authority are all working together in order to work safely and as quickly as possible to shorten the length of temporary inconveniences associated with this project."
