A New Jersey State Trooper, who was quick to respond to a call about a man who had collapsed and stopped breathing, ends up saving the man's life.

The NJSP said that Trooper John Taggart, of the Troop "D" Holmdel Station was dispatched on Friday to the Monmouth Service Area along the Garden State Parkway located in Wall Township.

Once inside, Trooper Taggart saw a man unconscious on the bathroom floor and not breathing so he quickly sprung into action and after not feeling any pulse, began to perform CPR.

The 44-year old victim then began to breathe following a few chest compressions.

Wall EMS then responded to scene to provide further treatment before transporting the man to Jersey Shore University Medical Center, where he was last listed in stable condition.

"The immediate care provided by Trooper Taggart and first responders from Wall Township undoubtedly helped save the victim’s life," The NJSP said in a statement.

Trooper Taggart is a life-saving hero!
