I survived Action Park.

That's a phrase that a lot of Jersey kids who grew up in the 80s and early 90s can say thanks to the Garden State's most infamous water park.

My time at the Vernon (Sussex County), New Jersey water park was thanks to summer camp field trips, and I can tell you from a first-person point of view that all of the stories that you've heard about Action Park are true.

In a new documentary, filmmakers Chris Charles Scott and Seth Porges set out to dig into the myth and the truth about the park in the appropriately titled, "Class Action Park: The Legend of the World's Most Dangerous Amusement Park".

They just released the first trailer today:

 

As of right now, the website for the documentary lists the film as "Coming soon", but we'll definitely keep an eye on it and let you know when you can see the full thing for yourself.
